About Ripple

Ripple produces the most innovative and consistent products in the marijauna market, including: Ripple Dissolvables, the O.G. fast-acting, water-soluble powder; Ripple Gummies, clinically proven to be 2X faster than the competition; and Ripple Quicksticks, the most convenient and fun way to get the fastest THC.

At Ripple, our mission is to improve people’s lives through cannabinoids. We give people consistent experiences they can count on, and we give those experiences two times faster. We pride ourselves on great products, great people, and great science. We are singularly focused on quality, which to us means doing things the right way, right from the start. We know that success isn’t found in shortcuts or silver bullets. We put in the work, and damn right we’re proud of it. This is a wild, wild industry, and we love working in it, but only with those who want to do things right.

About the job

Note: Ripple is a 100% vaccinated company. All employees must either be fully vaccinated or in the process of becoming fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

We are looking for a Marketing Director for Ripple Colorado.

At Ripple, we believe in talking with our stakeholders, not at them. This role is all about building deep, meaningful relationships with our dispensary partners and our end consumers. We believe the only way to cut through the noise in the cannabis market is through frequent, consistent, and positive interactions with our brand. When a store’s budtenders sell our products from a place of genuine knowledge, love, and respect, when we are able to support stores through knowing as much (or more) about their businesses as they do, then and only then do we believe a relationship is successful.

Your job will be to ingrain Ripple’s brand messaging and unique selling propositions into the consciousness of our partners and the market as a whole. To achieve this, you must believe in high-touch marketing and have the ability to execute it. You need the wherewithal to build and lead a distributed brand ambassador team to execute on in-store merchandising and budtender training initiatives statewide in support of our sales efforts. You must also understand that marketing in cannabis means trade marketing. Social media is good and useful, but the only things that really move the needle are things that happen face-to-face.

So, if you’re the type of marketing leader that wants to be judged by how your efforts affect sales, if you believe in the importance of building meaningful relationships with everyone in a dispensary, from the security guard to the owner, if you know how to craft messages that resonate and install those messages into the market, then this may well be the role for you.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Building a statewide brand ambassador program that educates and delights dispensary staff and consumers alike.
  • Developing, rolling out, and refining Ripple’s educational curriculum for budtenders and consumers, including but not limited to: in-person training, online training, and leave-behinds. Let’s get creative.
  • Conducting market research to drive sales, marketing, and R&D efforts. Data is our lifeblood, and it should be yours too. If a thing’s not worth doing, it’s not worth doing well.
  • Building and nurturing our Budtender Advisory Panel to assist with product development, market insights, and industry activation.
  • Collaborating with our Sales team and dispensary partners on smart promotional campaigns that drive awareness and sell-through.
  • Maintaining content on all outward-facing partner sites to ensure accurate and cohesive messaging and brand representation.
  • Representing the Ripple brand publicly via panels and interviews.
  • Working with management to create and manage marketing budgets that deliver a clear return on investment.
  • Setting performance benchmarks and then tracking results through analytics and dashboards.
  • Keeping informed of developments and innovations in the field of marketing to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Managing service providers, including creative agencies, printers, swag suppliers, etc.

What we’ll love about you:

  • You’re organized and proactive. You love building and using tools and systems that make you more effective and efficient in your work.
  • You love the challenge of growing a business and are relentless in the pursuit of boosting sales.
  • You love being in the field because that’s where the intel is. You believe in personal engagement and interaction with all retail staff, from security guards to  budtenders to buyers.
  • You take pride in holding yourself accountable for your actions and their results. You take responsibility for your actions, close the loop, and freely admit error.
  • You’re a natural extrovert who loves spending time with people of all stripes. You love the challenge of initiating and building healthy industry relationships.
  • You have an understanding of, and passion for, the THC/recreational edibles market

What you’ll love about us:

  • We are a team of competent, motivated, diverse, and decent adults.
  • We value reasoned debate over political maneuvering. We try to do the right thing and, more importantly, we try to identify and admit when we don’t.
  • We don’t half-ass anything. When we do something, we do it for good reason, and we do it right.
  • We offer competitive salary, flexible PTO, 100% paid health benefits and sick leave for all full-time employees. We too value health, relaxation, and spending time with friends and family.
  • We are incredibly transparent about our standards and expectations, and we honor that transparency with honest feedback and timely compensation. We believe trust and accountability are two-way streets.
  • We provide full mileage reimbursement.
